Instead of just the standard assortment of smiley faces that come with UBB forums, we have added Film-Tech exclusive emoticons! The new icons are:

Evil smiley.

for Digital Cinema

Scream icon

to indicate a load of crap

Ian Price (also can be used to indicate a load of crap)

The finger!

See the smilies legend to see how to incorporate these into very single one of your posts! Or just click the EDIT button on my post right here to see how I did it!

Thanks!

Us older "Techies" have to print out a list of the smilies legend.

I'm thankful that you didn't add one to enhance my drinking problem!

Ian: you should be honored. Where else are you going to be a standard icon? !!

I'm going to go and inhale a Pauley Girl light beer!

It had to be said: Why have two separate icons for "digital cinema" and "load of crap"? Isn't that redundant?

This is cool! Thanks, Brad!

Now all I have to do is hack all these new icons into UBB Writer. (Now where did I leave that pesky ResEdit?)

Hey Joe, Good work on creativity here. I love the Icon of the finger. Guess now we need to hack the UBB code to insert it immediately after seeing the word's TECHNICOLOR, or TES in a sentence, since we all in the world of Film-Tech seem to shared the same hatred for them, might as well make it easier for the poster to show how much they really care about Technicolor. Right?

I think that should be Techni er. (ie: Techni-crapper)

UBB does have an anti-swearing parser that has a list of forbidden words. When somebody types a bad word it substitutes "S***", for example. You could turn on the anti-swear feature and take out all the words from the "kill list" except Techni er and TES and a few other choice words that creative minds who lurk here will undoubtedly think up. The hard part would be to substitute the hacked code to make the words appear as icons.

Another idea that would probably be easier is to make an icon for Techni er.

Can the be used as a suffix to other words?

For example:

Freud Slip? (Freudian)
Dickens Setting? (Dickensian)

Just wondering...
