While flipping TV channels last night I saw what I'm sure was the shower scene from "Schindler's List"...in color! Was the movie colorized for cable and/or a video release?

(If so I'm amazed Spielberg allowed it.)

Perhaps it just looked like Schindler's List. I cannot imagine Spielberg OK-ing colourization of his film.

Considering the artistic achievement of "Schindler's List", I doubt anyone would endorse or approve such a modification. Spielberg and Kaminski used bits of color to reinforce the message of hope amid despair (the opening candle, the girl in the pink coat, and the closing reel).

I think you may have actually been watching the shower scene in "Stripes". I make that mistake all the time.
