Author Topic: Signage Tech Question Jim Cassedy Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1661 From: San Francisco, CA Registered: Dec 2006 posted 08-04-2017 12:37 PM                     The theater I'm at for Dunkirk/70 has these electronificated signthingys above their auditorium entrances. (all 20 of 'em!) > I'd like to read up more on the technology behind these. Anybody know who makes these, or similar displays? The signal is just sent over cat6 via HDBaseT converters from a source computer somewhere else in the building. And that's basically it. The screen itself can be whatever you want. We have a few at my theater that burned out, so we just replaced them with regular computer monitors until we could source a better-fit replacement. Finding a solution that integrates with your ticketing system to show the actual correct showtimes is going to be the harder part.  |  IP: Logged
