Author Topic: Del Mar & Nick Theatres Just Sold Santa Cruz CA Terry Monohan Master Film Handler Posts: 379 From: San Francisco CA USA Registered: May 2014 posted 11-23-2015 07:23 PM                     Sad news I have just heard the great art deco Del Mar Theatre as well as the Nick Cinema plus the Aptos Twin have just been sold to Landmark Theatres. These great Santa Cruz CA area theatres will not be the same when Landmark takes over in a few weeks. I can tell you when the great curtains stop to work at the Del Mar, old Landnmark is not going to fix them. They will just leave them broke like all the other theatres with curtains they own or rent in the SF Bay Area. No more showmanship in Santa Cruz when Landmark takes over, and I thought they were for sale also? Wait till the neon goes bad.  |  IP: Logged Sam D.
