We just got our most recent invoice from Technicolor, and it contained a billing for "Interstellar" as if it was a feature. ($40.22) I called them and got the charge removed, but I was thinking it could have happened to others too, so... heads up.

I assume this may have happened because Interstellar trailer had a KDM assigned to it, so to Tech's computers it probably looked just like a regular feature.

Geez. It won't be long before posters are delivered in safes and you have to wait before the combination is given to you. Or TV advertisements for movies which require the viewer to punch in some sort of code.

Not sure what they're thinking putting a KDM on a trailer.

I thought the same when that trailer first showed up. Then I watched it and discovered that at the very end where it usually says "coming soon" or whatever, this one says "One Year from Now".

Which is a good reason not to have people playing it six or ten months later on.

Mike, are you sure this isn't just the billing for The Hobbit? I'm only asking because the keys for the Interstellar trailer came in the same package as the keys for Hobbit. I haven't seen our statement yet, so I don't know if we'll see the charge.

Technicolor doesn't use the "secret names" on their bills, plus the Hobbit's secret name was "Middle Valley" or something like that.

I think it was just a goof on their part. After I emailed them about it they agreed to remove the charge from our bill.

Ok, good to know. And thanks for the heads up; I'll be watching for a charge on our bills.

By the way, have you looked into satellite delivery? Whether we receive content by satellite or hard drive, we're only paying $20.11 per title.

"Middle River" was the code name.

I was just reviewing invoices, and we did receive this same charge.
