All of you theaters running Looper might want to post this link on your websites. It is a director commentary designed for people to play on their portable MP3 players on a repeat viewing of Looper in cinemas. It could help bring back repeat customers.

This is a fantastic idea. Hopefully studios will start putting these out for more movies. It would be nice for studios to give people a reason to go to theatres more instead of less.

Thanks for the link! This is a very cool idea, and it's definitely a way for people to enjoy the movie in different ways, which could result in multiple viewings in theaters before it hits home video.

I wrote a Journal article to bring attention to our readers about it:

Neato. I've actually always pondered watching a film with commentary with a large audience. There are a handful of commentaries on video that are extraordinarily insightful and entertaining.

Is this why they called the movie "Looper"? (That's what Apple calls a computer that keeps coming back with issues.)

Hopefully nobody gets stuck sitting next to somebody who is playing the commentary. That might be annoying.

Why wasn't this commentary provided with the DCP?

Personally, I'm a little concerned that the director feels that a commentary is in order. It makes me wonder: Did something go wrong with this movie?

What? Play it on the hearing impaired system?
Might be cool if you have a two-channel system.

Let's hope he doesn't say anything funny. Someone with headphones laughing at a spot where there's normally nothing funny going on on screen wouldn't be a good thing.
