Below is a link to the KNOE TV8 website who recently did a story about the renovations to the Fiske Theatre in Oak Grove, La. which is one of the last single screen theatres still in operation in Louisiana and to my knowledge one of two B.W. Stevens designed theatre's still in existence in the state.

Great story about the theatre.

Good NEWS casting as it has "sequel" written all over it.

Too often the media report history and that is not helpful to the promotion of projects like this. The article informs and invites rather than stating old events.

Anyone else find the video interesting at the line "to match the recent digital upgrades..."?

Funny! Wonder if that's a little editorial comment by a 35mm fan?

Thanks for the kind words, we are excited about the improvements to the theatre and very grateful for the community support we have received. The young girl who came over to do the story did a great job. I doubt we will be able to keep her long in our market.

Yeah that was interesting... [Smile]

And the auditorium seemed to be very reverberant....I hope that sound treatments are part of the planned renovations.

It is good to hear of the efforts to keep an older single alive though. [Smile]
