So how many of you did not receive your print(s) of "Faster" tonight due to CBS Film's lack of communication to DFS that they were adding over 1000 play dates at the last minute(at least that's what I've been told by the polite DFS associates)? Our print is scheduled for delivery at 1215pm just 5 minutes before our first scheduled showing.

It happened to all of the 35mm locations here I have contacts at.

I remember when in Joe's booth in Colorado there was a calendar on the wall and every Friday's box had the movie title listed that was opening, everything neatly organized. Then on the occasional Wednesday box would be written "fucking Wednesday opening!" along with the movie title.

Serves them right for opening a film on a Wednesday. By the time they make their bookings final on Monday, there is literally no time to add more than a few dozen playdates. [Roll Eyes]

Wednesday openings suck! Tuesday night we had one of our two prints of Love & Other Drugs, but not the second. Amazingly, they were able to get me the second print this morning. I was scheduled to close tonight and instead had to come in to build it up so no shows would be canceled. I told them I wouldn't be working straight through to the evening or going home or coming back if I did this (I don't live close). Wednesday openings screw everyone up.
