So much for doing a run-through. If you have midnight shows and get a bad reel or have any other problem, you're [bs] out of luck.

Also, depending on the circumstances, you may be out of luck for your early shows on Friday as well. I think we are all getting a little sick and tired of the bum's rush we are getting with show make-up.

Guess nothing is going to happen until one of the major chains has a problem at a premier location, if then.

I'm also troubled by the inclusion of a 5 minute trailer pack which is not identified, but "must be played".

I guess it sort of follows the saying, "He who has the gold makes the rules". Gold in this case being a major tent pole release.

Update: Looks like "UPP #1" is a teaser for Spielberg's "Super 8"

Why is it called Super 8? Is that the format it was shot on? (I'm being sarcastic...well, hopefully)

Not much on the film's official website yet.

But according to Film O Filia:

"...written and directed by J.J. Abrams and based on his original idea is produced by Steven Spielberg. It revolves around a bunch of kids who shoot a movie with a Super 8 camera in the late 70s. When they develop the movie, they notice that there's an alien creature in the frame."

I think you mean J.J. Abrams. It doesn't sound like Spielberg has much at all to do with it.

Spielberg is producing. (Or in some spots, I've seen "executive" producing.)

That can be a big deal -- he was a producer on Gremlins, Back to the Future, etc.

As well as Joe Vs. The Volcano and Batteries Not Included...

Producer can have an influence, or they can simply be someone who fronts a little cash or officially hires people. Everything I've seen has indicated this one is all Abrams. I should rephrase that everyone is praying Spielberg has little to nothing to do with Super 8, since he's completely lost it and turns out utter crap.
