Just curious, has anyone had any complaints about the trailer for Tropic Thunder?
I've heard of a couple of complaints where patrons complained about Robert Downey Jr. playing a black guy because it reminded them of black face.
I've heard of one theater pulling all of the advertising for it completely.
Has anyone had any complaints from the P.C. crowd?

We've only run the trailer on 1-2 movies. Mainly because it was still a few month out and we try to emphasize releases in the next month or so. But once I found out the movie was rated R, we deliberately choose not to program it on anything but R rated movies.

But no, we haven't had any complaints. However, only a tiny percentage of our customers are black.

Dig up a blazing saddles trailer, that should quiet complaints down. [thumbsup]

Seriously, political correctness has already eroded the ideal pool.

At my theatre, I haven't heard any complaints. We have a good mix of customer base that comes to my theatre as well as having a good mix of employees. Of course, I only have the trailer on only maybe a few prints and have a Standee.

We don't have the standee but we have a banner and the trailer is playing on one screen right now and we haven't heard any complaints either.

I hate when people take comedy movies too seriously. I guess they were too offended to realize that it was making fun of character actors who get very involved in their characters (Daniel Day-Lewis for example) and not black people.
