According to Box Office Mojo, national average box office sales are 6.4% ahead of last year. That is Gross sales.

Can people share what they see happening in their market (#screens, competition). Assuming you can share that info.

We have 3 screens in a small no-compete town, and are 7.1 ahead as of end of September.

We cannot share specific data, obviously. What can be shared can only be vague. I cannot even share vague.

I don't think you are going to get much data here. Important figures are usually not shared when it comes to independents. Chains with stockholders publish their figures in yearly reports, but good luck sifting through them.

We're ahead of last year. We tend to pretty much follow the national trend. I don't have the figures in front of me but I'd guess we're up about the same as the biz in general.

Is that total dollars taken in at the box office, or number of tickets sold?

For us as well.

Box office Mojo has a YTD sale comparison. EDI used to have weekly publications. Anyone know of a source for weekly comparison to last year? Or at lease monthly?
