What sites do you use to download hi-res stills for use with in-house advertising?

I'm looking for sites that have images with good enough resolution to print A3 size.

Also looking for good coherent synopsis I can just copy'n'paste and not spend ages re-writing the rambling ones I usually find.

Just wondering what sources everybody else uses!

Andy

In the US, the distributors each run their own web sites for marketting materials with hi-rez images. There's not a central source. They require registration, though.

For synopses, I use movies.yahoo.com. They also have a lot of images, but not high-rez.

fandango.com is good for a short synopsis, that's what I used to use.

a handy site I found

http://www.movieweb.com

just search on a title , it will give you a selection of high res movie stills and several choices of poster artwork on some titles, and trailers and a synopsis , quite a good site.

Yeah, movieweb.com is probably my first stop already.

Mike and Edwin, Thanks, I'll check those out.

I download my movie posters for our theatre's website from Internet Movie Poster Awards

They have huge resolution files, and many times have posters in languages other than English.

Like Mike, I too get my synopsis from movies.yahoo.com

movies.yahoo.com has added a new thing (well at least I never noticed it before) they have the long synopsis, and then farther down the page they have a "Log Line" which is basically a one sentence synopsis. I've used those when the main one is too long winded (or gives away too many spoilers).

While you do have to pay, IME is THE BEST source for this type of stuff. It is well worth it and I recommend these guys TO EVERYONE:

IME is great it's true, but expensive at $259 a year. And all their info is in B&W PDF form, not good for website use.

Used to be you could get into their "film frames" information pages, but too many non-payers made them password protect those pages.

I have used Internet Poster Awards for several years.

They recently started putting higher res versions on there of most of the posters as well.
