RAVE Theatres has announced that they will be showing 3 of the N-Wave 3-D films at Matinee Prices beginning March 9 at some of their locations. The 3 films are 3D MANIA, HAUNTED HOUSE and HAUNTED CASTLE.

RAVE N-Wave 3-D Press Release

3D MANIA (Also known as ENCOUNTER IN THE THIRD DIMENSION) and HAUNTED CASTLE were both 3-D IMAX films.

HAUNTED CASTLE is one of the worst 3-D films I have ever seen. (I reviewed it in 2001, and a review is available in the Review section). 3D MANIA isn't much better.

The IMAX version of 3D MANIA was 40 min...the N-WAVE website shows it is now 18:39. Wonder if they cut out the Elvira dance? HAUNTED CASTLE was 38 min, now N-WAVE shows it at 23:26. HAUNTED HOUSE is listed as 12:34, for a total running time of 53:39.

I assume this will play there until MEET THE ROBINSONS comes in.

Even though I swore I would never subject myself to HAUNTED CASTLE again, I still might check it out.

I checked with Ben Stassen at nWave. Both Haunted Mansion and 3D Mania are the full IMAX versions. The entire RAVE presentation lasts about 90 minutes.
