Hello all. I'm here in Ireland for a few more days after spending a week on vacation. There are some of us going to see Borat Sunday, and wondering if the cinema in Lithy Valley is any good. We're in Maynooth right now, which is right outside of Dublin. Any advice? Thanks.

Is it true that all cinemas in Ireland are Digital? I read an artical about it being the first territory in the world that was to switch, not sure if its fact or fantasy.

All of Ireland digital? [Big Grin]

To give you an example, one of my customers over there, 9 screens been open about 2 years now, has 2 NEC DLP machines. To date they have shown 1 feature. [Roll Eyes]

Sorry don't know anything about Lithy Valley. The Eye at Galway is good (blatant plug for my own handywork!), there's a 3 screener up at Westport which I look after and is run by a really nice local family.

Found out the place is Liffey Valley, and the cinema is called The Vue. Looks like they have a few copies of Borat. I looked back at our theatre at home and we didn't even get it. What a shame 20th Century Fox.

OK Vue is a major UK Chain, formed from Warner, SBC Cinemas and Ster Century. IIRC the Dublin area site was originally a Ster, so will be quite decent.
