Just wondering if it was common to make postcards of Theatres in by-gone days. Also wondering if anyone has any poscards of their Theatres. Here is one of several I found stashed away in an envelope when were gutting the projection room for a revamp.
I thought it was really cool...... (not the strangest thing we found but cool)

This is the Scott Theatre in all her glory, in the days when everyone went to the movies and popcorn sales were just a little added revenue....

She looks pretty much the same today...box office and all, except for the tall sign up top is gone...... we plan on having that built and installed after we get open.

Oh by the way.. the strangest thing we found was an unopened will.......... creepy

This postcard is circa 1940's .... She was originally built in 1930, the postcard was after a 1938 redo by the second owner.

Great postcard!

If you look hard enough you'll probably find a postcard pic of just about anything. Most of the Asbury Park NJ theatres had postcards, I have a few of them.

I'm looking for postcards of the Palace (now the Beach Cinema in Bradley Beach NJ) and the Baronet (originally the Ocean) in Asbury Park NJ.

I'm fairly sure the Ocean is in one of the old "theatre catalogs" Louis

Many theatres had post cards.

A suggestion for Brad, how about a section in the pictures area for old theatre post card and/or photo scans. It could become a great reference for what was...
