Looks like DiVInci code is running 170 shows per day at 15 locations here in Central Ohio. That is about 500 performances for the 3-day weekend.

Multiplying 500 screenings by a conservative estimation of 200 seats per room, you come up with 100,000 available seats this weekend for DaVinci code.

Guess I won't have any trouble finding a seat!

Yea, I run a small 10 screen and by small I mean that our largest house only has about 250 seats (Fits with the local market), anyway we recieved 4 prints. This effectly means that more than half our available seats are going to Da Vinci. Next week we are due for 3 prints of X-Men (and you know that we are probably going to have to keep all 4 prints of Di Vinci as well).

I think by having by having more than 2 prints is a waste yea sure u might get a few more people in but there just people your losing from other sessions. Just because there is so many sessions avalible doesnt mean that your going 2 get more people they will just be more spread out.
Just my 2 cents.

Usually when you get that many prints it means someone is predicting a huge disappointment, which means a huge drop from week one to week two, so they want to get as much business that opening weekend as possible. Anyone remember Godzilla (1998)?

The Regal 8-plex here has 3 prints of Da Vinci Code. I don't think they've ever had 3 prints of anything before. Cinemark 17 has 4 prints.

The Carmike 10 in Billings MT has 3 prints, not all that rare for them. They had 3 prints of Episode III last year and ran all 3 for 4 weeks, I think. (Their auditoriums are on the small side though....largest is around 250 seats.)

Century 20 here is running Da Vinci on SIX SCREENS...including their four largest.

Over the Hedge got four smaller screens.

Business didn't look to be justifying more than a couple of screens for either one...

We have two prints of Davinci for a grand total of 444 seats available every other hour. I will say opening weekend business justifies this, but Over the Hedge will have much more legs here.

A Regal 4-plex in Corvallis got 3 prints of Da Vinci (Poseidon is on the 4th screen). The newer Carmike 12 in Corvallis got no Da Vinci but did get 3 copies of Over The Hedge.

We've just increased to 6 screens from 4 via interlock. All sold out all day. Evening pre-bookings for next week also good

Isn't it problematic to do that, can damage the print and so on? Seems like a good idea though.

If one properly sets up an interlock, there is no reason for the print to get damaged.
