The font is Penumbra, designed by Lance Hidy in 1994 for Linotype and distributed by Adobe Systems.

The font was originally sold as a Type 1 Multiple Master font (with 2 axis weights on sans to serif and light to bold). Now you can only buy it in fixed weights, mainly in OpenType form.

I was amazed Sony Pictures didn't just spit out Trajan (or Trajan Pro) on this one. However, I have been seeing Trajan and Albertus both popping up in supporting type work for this movie. The Star Wars prequels and LOTR trilogy both used the crud out of those fonts in their advertising. Trajan is even more common now that it's OpenType "pro" version has lately been bundled in with Photoshop. Anyway, the combination of Trajan and Albertus is a wierd, but somewhat obvious trend.

When I see the typeface Albertus I used, it just reminds me of the titles for John Carpenter movies.
