My search on this topic revealed 5 threads but non really answered my question.

I have a 18oz Star popper and I'm looking for the perfect seed to coconut oil ratio. Also the amount of salt for the ratio.

Can anyone help?

We have a 32 oz. Cretors. It takes 11 oz. of oil to a batch. So, doing the math, you would use 6.18 oz of oil. I'd round it off to 6 (or 7 if you like the nice yellow color.) And probably a heaping teaspoon of Flavocol would be pretty close on the salt. Hope this helps.

..or, a simple 3.00/1 seed to oil ratio.

Even the old Manleys had this ratio as well. Damn, they were good poppers.

Kind of an industry standard for poppers... - Monte
