Given the declining attendance, increased gas prices and thus decreased discretionary funds, has anyone increased prices in the last year or so?

our closest competition is an hour away in another state. I am wondering if the 0.25 extra will keep people from going.

We raised ours last spring and plan no changes at this point. With the winter heating bills supposed to be sky high, we might have to re think that.

A major theatre chain is planning widespread price increases on Friday. None of their theatres in our area are to be effected.

Nope we raised ticket prices last year but other than that we are all the same. We did recently introduce 3 new combos which brings our combo count up to 15 [Eek!]

You might want to consider calling those combos permutations instead.

I think it is crazy how many combos we have.

Our combos consist of

2 med drinks 1 med corn
2 large drinks 1 med corn
2 icees 1 med corn
1 med drink 1 icee 1 med corn
1 large drink 1 icee 1 med corn

Then the same for a large corn and a mega tub of corn.

Doesn't having so many combos defeat the purpose of having combos?

..then what stings is when a state is raising their minimum wage up causing concession/boxoffice increases as well..

Oregon - from $7.25 to $7.50 on the 1st of the year....wooo!

I think it does but since we have no choice, if home office wants 15 combos then we shall sell these combos.

..called a "McDonald's Method" since they probably were the first to do combo deals on their menu and the consumer loves deals and see savings in store.

This is why the "suggestive selling and upselling" methods are so critical.

And with this, drives up the PerCAP percentage to where the company(ies) are making the required profit to stay in business since the film companies are raping and plundering the cash out of the drawers in the boxoffices.

2 icees 1 med corn

I have 4 - Lg Corn and Lg Drink, 2 Lg Drinks and XL Corn, Lg Drink and Nacho and Lg. Drink and hot dog. I also have substituton buttons to change the drinks to icee or bottled water - its much easier than making signage for 20 combos.
