Being just over two weeks out from Episode III I was wondering how everyone's advanced tickets are going. Our sales are slowly picking up everyday, I think as word gets out that we are selling tickets it will get much busier. Even though we have posters everywhere, its on our answering machine...but its slowly picking up. Also, we began selling advanced tickets April 22nd.

SO the question is, how are your tickets doing, when did you start selling them and are the sales picking up or declining?

Last week I bought 20 tickets for a company field trip to an 11:30AM show on Friday 5/20 at Cinemark 17 in Springfield. As of then, the theater had sold 170+ tickets for that show. Their online ticketing says there are still seats available today.

Sales are slow so far but as Kurt said, as we get closer, I'm sure things will pick up. Right now we've sold about 60% of our 400 seat aud doing a midnight showing, and we have another one almost totally full still. Wouldnt be surprised if they're both close to sold out that week though.

Last I was told it was about 1000 tickets, roughly 800 for the midnight showing.

Most folks probably figure we aren't running a midnite because we're never open late, so those tickets are going slowly. But tickets for the weekend are going a bit faster.

We've sold just over 1100 for the midnight, nearly 2000 in all.

My theatre has a little over 5000 tickets sold for Wednesday night through Sunday, and 7 sold out 12:01 shows, with a several sold out throughout the weekend--we will be using 6 prints, one of them digital.

I talked to a manager of the Empire 25 and he said they had over 6000 tickets sold for Wednesday night and Thursday. He said they would be getting up to 16 prints, 2 of them digital, but moviephone doesnt reflect that many showtimes. Maybe they will add more in the next week.

Both of us should be pretty busy either way.

AMC Lennox 24 is running 24 hour Star Wars beginning with the 12:01 show. This is the closest theatre to Ohio State University.

Cinemark 17 in Springfield has added 2 more prints since a week ago, for 6 total, with 3 of 6 midnight shows late Weds. sold out as of now.

Regal Cinema World 8 in Eugene is getting 2 prints. They only have 1 midnight show listed, and it's sold out.

Carmike 12 in Corvallis is getting 4 prints. All 4 midnight shows are sold out. (They're displaying the THX logo even though that location is not THX'd. Naughty Carmike.)
