In Tallahassee, word is that someone had bought a chunk of land and had it zoned to build a movie theatre. My question is, could I find out who, is it public records? And, if it is public records, is it something easy to find out?

Deeds and zoning decisions are public information, and should be available at your county clerk's office, or the town/city responsible for the rezoning decision.

For example:

Check out the On-line Office of the Monroe County Clerk. Mortgages, Deeds, Legal Filings and other documents are just a click away.

If it's on a public computer terminal in our office, it's now available in your office, your home -- anywhere you have access to the Internet!

So, the next time you need a copy of a record from the Monroe County Clerk's Office -- Don't wait in line...Go on-line!

Information and requirements on permits and codes can be obtained in this department, which is located on the 2nd floor in the Town Hall.

However, it's likely that a developer has purchased the land and won't divulge who the tenant is until the tenant is ready to be outed.
