Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone had any information about getting cupholders to retrofit onto Irwin Citations. I know of one company, Cy Young, that has cupholders but not in the style that i want. I would like the cupholder to be behind the seat in between the backs. I currently have several theatres with the cupholders attached in this way. The cupholder and armrest are in one piece but the cupholder hangs off of the back instead of being on the front. Any help would be great.

We purchased cupholder armrests from Caddy Products. I didn't want to have to tear apart all the original armrests, so we bought the units that can be screwed into the original wood armrests. Haven't had a problem with customers ripping them off the seats. We didn't choose the units that attach to the back of the seats, do to leg room and the problem of getting 44oz soda cups to fit without knocking off the lids. I believe that we paid around 3.50 each, includes screws/hardware.

Our old seats (Seating Concepts) came with cupholders by Cy Young on the armrests. The holders were OK but were fairly shallow and people would sometimes "knock" the cups over as they were getting out of or into their seats. It happened especially with cups that are tall and thin, like a 22 oz cup.

Our new seats (Greystone) have a much deeper armrest cupholder. Our spills have been cut nearly to zero with the new seats. If anyone from Cy Young lurks here, it would be a good idea to try to find a way to make those holders deeper.
