Something is going on at Marcus Crosswoods, one of my favorite theatres. Perhaps some of the lurking Marcus people that visit here could give me a clue, or perhaps someone else has an idea about this.

I just got the list of films playing at Marcus Crosswoods in Columbus, and it appears that they are only using 9 screens, and, even more puzzling, they are not opening any of the new films.

Some remodeling, perhaps? I know they have closed their Imax screen, but I haven't heard anything about this. This theatre is only 6 years old and in excellent condition. It has very little competition in that area.

I can't imagine a first run theatre not opening SHARK TALE and closing SKY CAPTAIN after only 2 weeks.

The only films they will be playing are CELLULAR, COLLATERAL, FIRST DAUGHTER, GARDEN STATE, HERO, MR. 3000, RESIDENT EVIL, FORGOTTEN and WIMBLEDON.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Mark,

Yes they are doing some remodeling. They will be using the Imax auditorium to show 35MM films down the road.
