Program Launches in New York City Before Expanding to Three Other Cities
Nationwide

Svedka Vodka, the Brand That Stands for Entertainment for Adults,
Sponsors Nights to Help Singles Click

NEW YORK, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Loews Cineplex Entertainment Corporation
and Lavalife, Inc., a subsidiary of MemberWorks Incorporated (Nasdaq: MBRS),
announced today a partnership to expand the online dating experience with an
innovative offline program taking place in movie theaters in select cities
nationwide. Loews Cineplex and Lavalife will host "Click at a Flick" --
special Wednesday night movie screenings in major metropolitan areas designed
exclusively for singles. Single moviegoers simply buy a ticket for the
featured movie and proceed to the designated theater auditorium where they can
mingle before the lights go down.
Loews and Lavalife will launch the "Click at a Flick" program in New York
at Loews 34th Street on August 11, 2004, followed by an expansion to three
other major cities. Each pre-movie party will be sponsored by Svedka Vodka
who will help transform the movie theater into a nighttime playground with
sophisticated ice breakers for singles, including an updated version of 'Spin
the Bottle' and Tarot Card Readers revealing love-connection futures. The
party will also feature complimentary cocktails, sexy surveys and seductive
music to help singles connect. Events will begin at 6:30 PM and attendance is
welcome with purchase of 'Click at a Flick' movie tickets.
"Loews is always happy to bring people together to share the love of
movies, and for 100 years we have been a destination for countless first
dates," said John McCauley, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Loews
Cineplex. "We are pleased to partner with Lavalife, and our sponsors Svedka
and Joe Boxer, and believe that they will help launch a program that will be
the impetus for many to enjoy subsequent dates at the movies."
"We are thrilled to partner with Loews to host entertaining 'Click at a
Flick' events which provide a fun familiar atmosphere for singles to meet,
mingle and connect," said Lavalife CEO, Bruce Croxon. "This innovative
program reiterates Lavalife's continued commitment to offering singles
exciting new ways to meet and connect with one another."
After its debut in New York, "Click at a Flick" will expand to Boston, Los
Angeles and Chicago: the Boston launch takes place August 25th at the Boston
Common Loews; the Los Angeles launch is scheduled for September 8th at the
Broadway Loews; and the Chicago launch will be September 22nd at the Webster
Place Loews. Following each initial launch event, the program will take place
in each city on Wednesday nights bimonthly, with an anticipated nationwide
rollout to follow.
"Svedka is enthusiastic about this new partnership with Loews and
Lavalife, and looking forward to entertaining singles in New York, Los
Angeles, Chicago and Boston," says Guillaume Cuvelier, CEO of Spirits Marque
Once LLC. "Svedka has always been about entertaining adults and helping
people connect freely with others, now with our theater playground we are once
again bringing our philosophy to life."
During their 100-year anniversary celebration, Loews is thrilled to be
able to bring moviegoers this unique experience. Similar to the hugely
successful Reel Moms program, Loews continues to explore ways to add value and
meet the needs of their patrons.

That actually sounds like a winning idea.

I think I would just go for the vodka, my personal drink of choice. [beer]

Single people on the prowl "looking for love" make me sick. Especially the young 1/4 life crowd.
It makes me sad that I will be like that in a few years.

This idea is so funny. Im sure it will be nothing like I am picturing. (theatre orgy [Confused] ). Ive never found an auditorium to be the best place to have a conversation though. Even if the preshow ISNT blasting through the speakers, you can't really communicate with eachother well.

It may work...Im sure the alcohol will help ALOT

They are trying everything at that theatre, to get people to go to it. Loew's Lincoln Square on the Upper Westside or the Loew's Orpheum on the Upper Eastside would be better locations. They have better places to eat around those other locations than the 34th Street theatre.
