In an annoucement on Monday July 26 (which tells you just what Universal thinks of its own picture's chances) Universal announced that the release of Thunderbirds scheduled for this Friday July 30th has been postponed. It is uncertain for how long it will be postponed or if this wonderful release (which I know we have all been waiting for) will ever see the light of day (other than on home video).

Hmmmmmm absolutly no word from our home office on this. As of now this sounds like false information.

Late Tuesday here and my bookings have yet to reflect this change...

Maybe this falls under the "Wish it were true" category??

Do you have a verifiable source you can attribute this to? The film's official website still lists Friday as the release date. This late a pull by a major studio would be an unprecedented move, yet none of the on-line entertainment news services (Variety, IMDB, Hollywood Reporter, WENN) has any report of this. Also, Ben Kingsley has been making the TV rounds all day plugging the film and its "this weekend" release date.

Are you sure about this?

Technicolor is scheduled to deliver this print tomorrow.

I just saw an ad that said 'opening Friday'.

Somebody been tokin' on the pipe a bit much?

Yahoo! has annoying popups for it everywhere saying it starts this Friday.

I think we've all been the victims of "Bad Intelligence" (again).

Maybe it's just your theater. They pulled it from 2 of ours on Monday afternoon ... They were cancelling as many dates as they could.

Sounds like they pulled back on the number of prints released. We are playing it in one auditorium starting today.

It's at all the normal places around here... except for one of the multis, which is tied up with extra prints of "Bourne".

Well, we've been showing it at my theater today. Showing it in a (142)seat auditorium during the morning + 1st matinee and then moving it to a (211)seat auditorium for the 2nd matinee + twilight... and then back to the (142)seat for the 1st prime + 2nd prime. Man... I'm feeling really sorry for the people who have to keep moving the prints. This is not the only movie being moved around a couple of times. About 11 prints maybe alittle less will be moved at least once today.
