You didn't ask? Right as I became conscious, that would have been my first question. "I need .... to know the... political affiliations of everybody... standing over me!"

I'm sure I was probably somewhat dehydrated, not to mention very very tired. So here was most likely more to it than just exhaustion, but that was the bulk of it I'm sure.

I didn't mention this before b/c I forgot, but before I passed out a man came up to me and yelled at me about something being wrong with the sound in his auditorium. I called our (then) booth guy and he said he'd take care of it. Later, while I was laying on the floor surrounded by EMS people and equipment, the same guy came up to me and began yelling loudly at me about how I hadn't done anything and was lazy etc...

Before I even had a chance to respond, the EMS lady pretty much bitch-slapped him. It was awesome. [thumbsup]

PS: I will be sitting at work when I'm not threading/starting movies because I broke my second biggest toe on a splicer today.

I think this could only happen to me.

I was taking a trailer off of our print of Spiderman 2. So I take the trailer off and splice the other trailers back together. I know not to set anything besides film on the platters, so I set the splicer on the floor next to the tree.

I finish threading, and as I'm walking around the projector, I accidentally kicked the splicer with my left foot. I think I didn't see it on the floor b/c it was immediately around a corner.

X=splicer (sorry, booth isn't usually that messy)

I actually didn't notice it was broken until about an hour later when I couldn't move my toes without horrible sharp stabbing pains.

This wouldn't have happened if I was wearing close-toed shoes and not black dress sandals, but what can I say, they make my feet and legs look damn good. [Big Grin]

So now you know how a rabid splicer attacked my toe. Beware the Neumade splicer.

I think we have learned two things.

*Proper foot wear is mandatory. (Sorry Emma, but I can't imagine someone working the booth in any kind of sandal.)

*Corners in booth from this point forth shall be outlawed.

Hehehe Brad, I agree, corners should be banned. And after this incident, I can't imagine ever wearing open-toed sandals at work again. I'm sure I can find some nice close-toed shoes. But at least I can go out of dress code for a while until my foot heals and wear comfy sneakers. [thumbsup]

Yeah, that is a can of WD-40. It's only for that door in the background. The hinges get really tight and the door sometimes doesn't shut all the way, and since that door opens to a hallway accessible to the public, I spray it down often to make sure it stays closed.

Sorry guys, I you want to see my oh-so-pretty legs, you'll have to stop by Ft. Worth, TX and come to my theatre. [Wink]

PS- My toe has a big purple spot on the side and a bump that shouldn't be there. And it hurts a lot because my 110 lb. Labrador Turbo stepped on it. I'm going to get an x-ray tomorrow.

In fact, as long as they're doing their jobs, everything is stocked and the counters are clean, I don't have a problem with the popcorn kids sitting on stools when it's not busy as long as they immediately get off their butts as soon as a customer approaches the counter.

Why are so many of you into torturing your employees? Give 'em a break..it's not like you're paying very much.
