One of our employees spelled Shrek 2 "Shreck 2" took her awhile to figure it out too. Last one I can think of be fore that was "barbershop" being spelled "Babershop" this too took the person awhile to figure out the correct spelling.
What's the story behind the second photo?

Best marquee "mistake" I ever saw was when one of our ushers put up "Monster Balls" instead of "Monsters Ball". He had already put the ladder and tiles away, and had to drag everything back out, so it might have been an honest mistake...

Come see monster balls on our biggest screen! You wont believe your eyes!

Recently there was the whole Shreck 2 misspelling on some sold out signs in our box office. Delving into the past there was the time a manager tried to thread a movie tail first.

We had a marquee kid once who put up

FRESH HORES

(instead of "horses")

In a semi-related note, a competing theatre near us on their recording, says Harry Potter and the Prisoner of "Azikban."

P.S. I've been to the theatre pictured on top of this thread...that marquee is way cool at night!

From way, way back...
I came in one day and noticed we had times up for a movie called "Almost An Angle"

Last summer...
Our electronic marquis said we were playing "Swimming Poo"

I forget where I was at the time when I was driving by a theater that either had someone playing a joke with the marquee, or someone swung by at night and vandalised it, either way it was advertising for "Harry Pothead"

When you run a print that's on Kodak stock, would it be wrong to put "it's a Kodak moment" on the sign?
