Any Regal people out there have the ticket kiosk machines in your lobby? Do you have the Radiant kiosk or the CAT kiosk? My theatre has a CAT kiosk and it's the biggest piece of [bs] I've ever seen. It goes down at least once a week and we have to reboot it, it only sells tickets by credit card (freezes up when you try to select "purchase by debit card"), and right now the ATM function doesn't even work at all. Anyone have similar problems with a CAT kiosk? Are the Radiant kiosks more reliable?

If it only sells ticket by credit card, why is there an option to sell by debit card? Or is it supposed to accept debit cards as well. If so, then the debit card option should just be removed until the problem is fixed.

Brandon,

Send me a private email with the problems you are having with the CAT at your theater. We have found that overall, they have been much more reliable than the Radiant ones... but then there is always an exception to the rule.

There are two models of CATs that Regal is deploying. One dispenses tickets only, the other does cash and tickets. Both models should accept ATM or credit cards.

{taking this opportunity to blast Radiant}

Anything is more reliable than a Radiant Kiosk.

While working at Regal I was always having issues with the Radiant Kiosk.

They seem to be more trouble then they are worth.

Radiant should have stuck with the restaurant system business.

And you should have stuck with the IMAX business!
