I just came across this post on the internet tonight.
Ananova:
Dutch cinema screens films to hot tub audience
A Dutch cinema is trying to attract more viewers by showing them films while they sit in an outside hot tub.
A total of 25 people watched Bridget Jones' Diary for the first screening at the cinema in Enkhuizen.
Screenings of other films have been lined up for the rest of the week but they are already sold out.
Cinema goer Miep Dreesen, 25, attended the first screening and said: "It was not cold at all. It was quite cosy. The water was a nice temperature.
"Only coming out of the pool was a little bit cold but they gave us warm towels and invited us inside where we could have a warm drink."
Cinema owner Menno van Wees now hopes to extend his idea by taking it to other cinemas nationwide.
Mr van Wees says he first came up with the idea as a promotion during a meeting with a hot tub manufacturer.
"But since more people are interested, Iąd like to make a tour with this project in the rest of the country as well," he told Noordhollands Dagblad.

I can't imagine sitting in a hot tub for two hours straight. But the idea of a drive-in hot tub has some merit.

I can't imagine that all that chlorinated steam could be all that good for the image quality, unless it's rear-projection.
