For those theaters that have rooms set aside for birthday parties, what do they look like? What's the decor?

Here's a few to get us started:

Galaxy 16, Waco, Texas
 -

Celebration Cinema, Grand Rapids, Michican
 -

Yorktown 18, Lombard, Illinois

Yuck. Who want's to have a party in those rooms? They look more appropriate for FBI prisoner interrogations. Darken the lighting, add some color, some neon, some noise (and maybe a few strippers) and then you'll have some ingredients for a party!

let me describe out party room to you... it is a medium sized room, gey floor, white cement walls, 3 tables, and a stack of old registers we arent allowed to get rid of. At one point i covered an entire wall in rugrats posters, put up a couple streamers and large "happy birthday" signs. surprisingly people don't complain about it.

I always found (film) strippers to be one of the least interesting parts of a projector. They just sit there until you have a sprocket-wrap. [Wink]

What is a "gey floor"? Is that where the strippers dance (or where the film strippers operate)?

At the Lakeville, we had a "party room manager" who, for a whole month decorated the party room with odd shaped balloons. No pics, cause the management was so upset about it, but it was like this woman could only make dirty looking balloons. The floor staff thought it was hilarious, the parents were slightly amused [Big Grin]

It holds about 12, and its not a room - only part of a room! [Razz]

Who wants to have a party at a freakin' movie theater? Apparently a lot of people do. If my parents had ever held my birthday party in a movie theater, I'd ask them why they hated me. I would have run away and lived in a trash can. It would be better than living with tacky parents. I mean they could have at least taken you to Chuck E. Cheese or something.
