I just heard today that Marqee Cinemas is opening up 2 locations in Ohio. One is the closed Consumer Square 14 in Columbus Ohio that used to be operated by Regal. The other is Barrington Square 10 in Aurora. Not sure who operated that before. I am being told December 19th looks to be opening date on the Consumer Square location. Sometime December for the Aurora as well.

The Aurora is a new build not an existing theatre. They are also building in Tiffin, Ohio as well some other locations. They seem to be a company on the move. Jesse, do you work for the Regal or Classic theatre?

Interesting that the 10 screen is a new build. I know they operated a existing 4 plex in Tiffin. DO you know details on the new build there?
Nope I do not work for Regal or Classic.

Some bad fortune for the Columbus Consumer Square theatre, in that the local newspaper has been running articles on the extreme increase in crime in that area. People have been attacked leaving restaurants. This could hurt their business, somewhat.

I remember when Regal was there every Friday and Saturday night they had to have 2 off duty Police officers at the theatre to monitor the parking lot and lobby due to problems.
