Does anyone know where I might be able to find used or new Adler letters? They have to be able to fit into a 6 7/8" track.

Thanks for your help,
John

Check the back of Boxoffice Magazine. I think there is a ad in there for a company that sells sign letters. Sorry I dont have one handy at the moment.

The January BoxOffice has this ad:

We were looking for some additional ADLER metal letters for the Temple Theatre in Saginaw, MI. Finally traced down the company that bought the molds for all the ADLER letters. They informed us that they had DESTROYED the molds as no one had ordered any and the molds took up too much space. Like anybody knew they had them?

We did get some additional letters from a closed theatre in MIDLAND, MI where the circle theatre became bowling alleys and now a Rite Aid Drugstore.

Most of the Butterfield theatres in Michigan used these letters and had the same style of new marquees. Try the League of Historic American Theatres as a source for your letters. Most of their members are aware of such items and their availability.
