Some Loews Theatres in Manhattan are playing 20th Century Fox pictures again.

The Loews Kips Bay opened The Transporter in October and is currently playing Solaris. Loews got those films in part because the nearby Murray Hill Theater (City Cinemas) is closed for now.

The Loews 34th Street -- one of Loews' weaker Manhattan sites -- also has Solaris and is opening Drumline.

Could this mean X2 (the X-Men sequel) opening in the Loews Lincoln Square?

The Murray Hill Quad has been closed permanently.

Frank, The Murray Hill was owned by City Cinemas. The projection equipment was put into the Cinema I II III and the Sutton.

That leaves only Loew's 84th Street Six and the Loew's Lincoln Square , Lincoln Plaza Cinemas and the 62nd & Broadway.
As the upper west side theatres, with the closings in January
of the Metro Twin and the Olympia and last years Nova Cinemas.
