I'm wondering if anybody knows of a manufacturer of LED Auditorium Status Signage, or if such a product exists or can be makeshifted out of a current product. I'm thinking of something that will alert patrons of the status of an auditorium before entering.

Possible displays:
Now Playing Previews
Now Playing Feature
Now Cleaning, Please Wait Outside
Now Seating

Something like this would most likely be hooked up to projector automation with something in the auditorium to switch from Now Cleaning to Now Seating.

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

I could see a 'Now Playing Previews' display leading to customers waiting until the show starts before entering the theatre, interupting the beginning of the feature.

I would add "Now playing previews -- no admittance after feature starts."

I wish there was a way to make this whole industry convert en masse to a policy whereby no one would be admitted after the beginning of the feature.

Most IMAX theaters that I have been to have this policy. And if you leave, you can't come back! That would be a nice policy to have. Why would someone want to see a movie knowing they missed the first 15 minutes? I don't get it.

How bout just saying "If you're on your way out from another movie, you can sneak into this auditorium and see something else without paying and not miss the beginning of it?"
(This is why I find it foolish to post showtimes right outside the doors, BTW.)

There is LED signage available with storage of multiple pages which can be called up via the projection automation package....very easy on a Pennywise

The only time I post showtimes outside the door is when I have multiple prints. Otherwise, invariably, people will go to the wrong show.
