We have part of our riser wall (stadium seating) either kicked in or someone put their head through it (the hole is about the right size). Anybody else have any damage to report? It is not going to surprise me to see news stories over this weekend about copycats who have seen the movie. If there hasn't been already.

No damage yet - however we had to kick out some AIR FORCE guys last night for public drunkeness. Glad to see the guys who defend our country at their finest.

Two notes on this:

As one sobered up last night - he said that he realized how dumb it was to actually get kicked out of the movie "Jackass".

Some of them came back tonight to apologize to my staff and I - and they were sober!

Not to wander away from the topic, but Dennis, that's a classic.....

At least they apologized. They could have gotten in hot water if they were "picked up" and got busted....something like that can ruin their careers. Public drunkeness of military personnel is not tolerated.

I had a jackass leave a condom on my street sign,in daylight and the crew found a beer bottle full of "warm" liquid. No one wanted to investigate the "warm" liquid any further. But thank God no property damage, I kept a pretty good eye on them this weekend.

As we were exiting from "Ghost Ship", someone who appeared to be intoxicated was being escorted out of "Jackass" by an usher. The ejectee kept protesting "The only reason this theater exists is because of me!" but he left without causing any more trouble.

JACKASS was banned here in The Bahamas for being "degrading and disgusting." As a result, I don't have any damage to report.

Fire Extinguisher discharged and Fire Alarm pulled - If that counts.

Luckily, fire alarm was @ 12:30 am and not many shows were left playing.

Where I saw it this weekend, they had a big security guard standing in the theater for the duration of the film. No damage there.

We had a guy do a quick strip show during the credits and pee on the floor in front of the screen. Fun.

Paul,

Same thing happened here. Fire extinguisher discharged in side hallway, alarm went off, only 3 shows still in progress. Wound up with an excess of $500+ in refunds over the weekend from that event alone.

Added four employees to the close staff for Sat/Sun, no problems.

Freekin assholes!

Alcohol problems in the USAF are a major problem! Oh the stories I have!

One of many stories...and yes it is true: Travis AFB CA 1994 or 1995..I forgot the year. An Airman of legal drinking age loaned his Military I.D. card out to an "underaged" Airman. Now, this Airman who loand out his I.D. card was already in hot water for other offenses. The "underaged" Airman to whom he loaned his I.D. card out to went into the NCO club on base, got drunk and was busted with a DUI on base. Well, both parties were in deep for this and the Airman who loaned his I.D. card out sent a sucide note up through his chain of command. The note was ignored and the guy blew his head off in the barracks. For the next month suicide prevention was a very hot topic on base.

The alcohol problem at Norton AFB, CA (now closed) was so bad that what went on in the barracks would make "Animal House" or any college frat look like a bunch of amatures!

God, what Ican go on about!

I'm told that some of the guys in Jackass live right up the street from our theater. In fact they reportedly did a stunt for their TV show in front of the theater once.

Our biggest auditorium had a nice clean screen when it started. Not anymore. It now has the standard mustard/cheese/soda stains.

Our sister theater down the road had a beer thrown at their screen. They also had the masking curtains pulled down on one side of the screen in their #2 biggest house. The drunk idiots that did it are lucky they didn't kill themselves by the big rod coming down and clocking them in the head.

At 8:00 PM this past Friday someone pulled the fire alarm at the Hoyts in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania forcing the evacuation of the then current running shows and the cancellation of the last shows for the entire 14 screen complex.

Since this Hoyts does not enforce the R rating policy and lets anyone in, it could not be someone who was turned away.
