Thanks

If I remember correctly - our goal is for payroll $ to equal about 10% (or less) of the total revenue for the day.
Easier to meet that on weekends than on really dead weekdays!

We try to hit 7% of revenue over the week. Since we usually do better than this on weekends it makes up for slow weekdays.

I believe we try to hit about 5%, sounds low but we have mainly Art films so most of the cash is coming in to the box office.

Our goal, on the local level, is to keep the entire payroll at 10% or under the daily revenues. On slow weekdays, this is damn near impossible. However, on weekends, as someone else pointed out, it is very easy to 'bridge the gap'. We also have a concessionist/patron ratio of 1/100 during our slower times and 1/70 during busier times. It all boils down to a numbers game reagrdless of HOW you look at it. I can run 4 registers as effectively as I can 6 or 7 at times, but the numebrs have to play in at some point. Typically, you do not want floor payroll in any theatre to run over 10-12% of total revenues at any time. Oh, and remember.. you have to maintain a per cap of $2.50+ regardless of the number of patrons/staff you have....

Yeah. Whatever.
