Amid all the Sturm und Drang of the past week people did get out to the movies. The glass was either half-empty (slowest weekend of the year) or half-full (the Olympics did much bigger damage last September). How did your theater fare?

Oddly enough, Tuesday night was our busiest weeknight! I guess folks just wanted to get away from it all that day.

We fared pretty well. People who wanted a laugh or a heartwarming story went to see Hardball & Herman USA (but Herman's a local favorite, having been filmed in MN).

Our scratched up re-release print of Pearl Harbor got a real boost from the crowds looking for patriotism (or Josh Harnett
