Charles Everett Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1470 From: New Jersey Registered: May 2001 posted 08-22-2001 03:08 PM                     From what I gather United Artists is not running The Curse of the Jade Scorpion -- at least not in the New York metro area. This will hurt Woody Allen's newest picture in the outer boroughs (NYC outside Manhattan), Long Island and Westchester. The Hamptons are affected since UA has theaters out there. This is Woody Allen's home town and his picture alway's have done well in the metropolitan area. For those in the Hamptons, DreamWorks booked Jade Scorpion into a single-screen arthouse in Sag Harbor and the Cineplex Odeon (Loews) twin in Westhampton Beach. Yes, they still have single-screen theaters out on Long Island! BTW, I was born in Southampton and have family near Sag Harbor.  |  IP: Logged
