As with the first movie, Goosebumps 2 is a 90 minute ad for RL Stine's series of books.

The story is just ok and the effects (and monsters) are really well done. Unfortunately, it's too scary for little kids and too juvenile for adults, so that doesn't leave a lot of audience for it.

We all enjoyed the new Goosebumps film, not as good as the last one and no 3D this time.

Needed Jack Black more again in the new version.

Slappy is one mean doll, someone brought one of these dolls to the Century 20 in Dally City CA last week at our showing. At least he was well behaved.
The kids loved seeing the wooden dummy in person. Slappy even ate some popcorn and talked a little before the film started.

I think the old guy that brought him to the theatre had Slappy sitting in the boxoffice over the weekend also.
Wish I took a photo.
