While I thought the story structure was all over the place and the trailer oversimplifying the premise, I thought the performances from both Matthew McConaughey and Richie Merritt were exceptional.

question: how did Sony encode the movie onto DCP, is it 2K or 4K? Also what is the audio? I couldn't tell if this was an actual 7.1 surround sound or if the theater's sound system was driving a ton of the surround sound cues to the speakers directly behind the audience; it got a bit distracting at times.

2K with a 5.1 or 7.1 soundtrack.

Interesting tid bit:

Richie Merritt is an employee at our theatre location in Baltimore, Maryland.

He walked into school late one day at Dundalk High School and the casting director for the film was there dropping off flyers for a casting call. One week later he was reading a script for Matthew McConaughey.

True Story....

If the 7.1 audio was used in a 5.1 house, then you'll get some irregularities.

They prob loaded in the 7.1 key.

Or, the processor needs rebooted.
