A great follow-up to Eighth Grade. A young woman is about to head off to college. Her father runs a struggling music store (reminds me of High Fidelity) and is a musician who did not make it. He and his daughter create some amazing music in their home studio. There's a sort of role reversal here from Eighth Grade in that the daughter is the more practical one.

We saw it with the Denver Cinema Club at the Landmark Mayan theater. As indicated in the after movie discussion, everyone enjoyed it. And, Sam can sing!

I also saw it (at UA Stonestown) and enjoyed it. I don't go in for the kind of song they recorded but still enjoyed it. Always nice to see Toni Collette.
