A wonderful look at life on the edge. A mother and daughter live in a motel and struggle to get by in the shadow of Disney World. The daughter (7 year old Brooklyn Prince) is amazing! I also thought the motel manager was a great character. He really did what he could for his residents. We see a lot of movies with the Denver Cinema meet up group. After the movie, a dozen of us discussed what happens after the movie's sudden ending. We also discussed the motels along Colfax here in Denver. By the way, earlier this year we saw a documentary about a program where the kids of Colfax create a television news program. It was great seeing them doing something creative.

and even though it seems more of a slice of life kind of movie, the effect and overall impression lingered for days afterwards - one of my faves of 2017
