I needed a movie for a free admission show for Santa Claus Day this year, so I got this one.

The story can be summed up in one sentence -- an orphan girl runs away from the orphanage and goes to Paris to become a ballerina. The characters are really engrossing and the artwork is fabulous. The faces, in particular, are exceptionally detailed and well drawn. And I love the nun's hat; she's something to behold, indeed.

The music is good, the story is fun and fast-moving and even though you know how the movie is going to end, you just want to stand up and cheer when the girl finally achieves her dream.

This is a wonderful movie! Too bad it didn't get more exposure and a wider distribution when it was originally released.
