I screened this tonight and I must say that "Better Watch Out" is one of the most unusual, twisted, quirky, dark, clever and humorous "teen romantic comedy Christmas holiday thriller" movies I've ever seen.

That's about the best I can come up with to describe the movie, as I'm just not quite sure how to review it without giving away some of the twists that you certainly won't see coming. Instead I'll just stick to the Sam Graham review template:

"Babysitter comes over to watch a 12 year old. Wackiness ensues."

So while I'm sure there will be a few people here and there who will absolutely hate this movie, I rather enjoyed this delightful and odd little treasure from Aussieland.

I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

As with every movie, it's best if you go into it cold without knowing anything and without watching the trailer. If you aren't sure about this one, this trailer was quite well cut together and doesn't totally destroy the movie though:
Watch it here.
