CINEMA: Regal Warren East Wichita, KS
AUDITORIUM: 2
PRESENTATION: Dolby Digital Cinema 2K with the WAVE (I'm walking on sunshine, weeeellll)
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: None [Cool]
RATING: Three stars (out of four)

They made a trailer for a forthcoming Disney short? WTF.

THE PLOT: Enter gracefully into that sunset, ye old fart. Wackiness ensues.

Lightning suffers a loss in confidence against newer, faster rivals. His sponsor sells to a guy who invests in a massive new driver training facility. This doesn't work so well so Lightning takes his own path. In the end, girls rule.

WAY better than Cars 2. I probably enjoyed it more than I had any right to, but I was grinning ear-to-ear pretty much the whole time which you, if you have ever met me, know is damn creepy.

Haven't seen this yet, but from the trailers, the plot reminds me of Rocky IV, which is the one where he goes up against the Russian guy and by the end of the movie, the whole Russian crowd (in Russia) is chanting "Rocky, Rocky, Rocky." But it can't be any worse than Cars 2.

I thought the first thirty minutes was painfully boring, the latter half was way better, but I could see where the story and characters were going a mile away. Excellent animation. And yes, better than Cars 2 and The Last Dinosaur which in my mind are Pixar's worst movies.
