I've previously written that I occasionally play a movie here simply because I want to see it myself. Live by Night is one of those.

So... Tommy guns and Model T's. What more do you need in a gangster film? [Smile]

This movie requires that you sit up and pay close attention since the story is rather convoluted in places. Overall, though, it's a bit slow-moving simply because they are trying to stuff a lot of elements into the movie.

Having said that, I quite enjoyed it. The ending in particular is great. The sets, the costumes and the overall look of the movie is absolutely superb.

If you like gangster movies this is worth watching. It isn't a thrill-a-minute like some of them are, but it's an interesting story that's well presented.
