CINEMA: AMC Council Bluffs 17, Council Bluffs, IA
AUDITORIUM: 6
PRESENTATION: Mystery Meat Digital
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: None [Cool]
RATING: Two and one half stars (out of four)

THE PLOT: A bummed out professor finds a muse. Wackiness ensues.

This is Woody Allen's annual cinematic contribution. Yeah, I hadn't heard about it either. Joaquin Phoenix plays a newly hired professor who has writers block and seems to have lost all sense of purpose. Nonetheless, another professor (Parker Posey) and a student (Emma Stone) are basically throwing themselves at him. We should all have such luck. The Phoenix and Stone characters are at a diner when they overhear a conversation that leads to the Phoenix character finding his muse in...well, let's just say the movie takes a "Match Point" turn.

This isn't nearly as good as "Match Point", but it's still a decent watch if you're in the mood for a Woody Allen flick.

I thought the trailers did a very good job in hiding the plot.
