CINEMA: Megaplex at Valley Fair, West Valley City, UT
AUDITORIUM: 1
PRESENTATION Dolby ATMOS
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: Movie paused and went to black about halfway through (fixed in about five minutes, re-started about ten seconds before blackout point), periodic noise coming from ceiling array that sounded like a Geiger counter
RATING: Three stars (out of four)

THE PLOT: Cute n' Cuddly gets ugly. Wackiness ensues.

The penguins were the only reason to see the Madagascar movies. But are our flightless friends clever, witty, and funny enough to carry a whole movie themselves?

Yes. Yes they are. And they managed to introduce a secondary cast that is sure to get a spin-off of their own someday.

Not sure why this has an ATMOS soundtrack. Not once did any of the sound give me reason to remember I was even in an ATMOS auditorium.

Perhaps the director just ported in a 5.1 soundtrack and called it Atmos?
