CINEMA: Megaplex at Jordan Commons, Sandy, UT
AUDITORIUM: 8
PRESENTATION: Dolby Digital Cinema (2K)
PRESENTATION PROBLEMS: Front left sound channel out
RATING: Three stars (out of four)

THE PLOT: There's much ado about nothing. Wackiness ensues.

Apparently, Joss Whedon is a big Shakespeare fan and has dinner parties where everybody speaks in Shakespeare tongue. This is basically a movie version of that...a black-and-white but modern contemporary version of "Ado" with one glaring exception...Shakespeare's original dialogue is used.

So it's like watching a modern romantic comedy written by Yoda.

(Actually that would be an awesome parody...if somebody re-created this with the Shakespeare dialogue re-written to Yoda-speak).

Anyway, it takes some getting used to, but even those most annoyed with this will probably forgive it when Nathan Fillion appears and livens things up.

Hi Sam:

Glad you enjoyed the film. I went to see it last Sunday at the UA Stonestown Twin, but ended up seeing "Fill the Void" instead. I just wasn't sure if I would like the movie. Your review incourges me to go back and see it.

Mike
