It is amazing how a filmmaker like Coppola, who made a few wonderful films forty years ago, can go so wrong recently.
This is a fairly incomprehensible movie. It has long sequences in Spanish with no subtitles. Flashbacks are in color (in this otherwise beautifully photographed black and white film). With a couple of exceptions, the principal characters are the kind of people you'd rather not meet. A genuine loser!
